Defeat has fueled John Crimber throughout the 2024 PBR Teams regular season.
The No. 1 overall pick of the Florida Freedom fell short of winning the PBR World Championship in May. Crimber has said on multiple occasions, he thinks about that moment daily. Crimber has turned that momentary failure into growth. With only two events left in the PBR Teams regular season, Crimber is in prime position to win the league's MVP award.
During the final day of PBR Teams: Cowboy Days, Crimber scored a game-best, 89.5-point ride on Chupacabra, helping the Florida Freedom earn their sixth consecutive game win. It was also the 50th career 8-second effort in premier PBR competition for the 19-year old.
Sunday’s event concluded with the Shootout Round, featuring one rider from each of the winning teams. For the second time in Greensboro, N.C., Florida’s Crimber won the special round with a monster 90-point ride, covering Feeds Red River for 90.5 points. Growing his lead in the 2024 PBR Teams MVP Race, Crimber is now 242.5 points ahead of No. 2 Brady Fielder.
