No. 1 Carolina Cowboys experience their first losing streak of the season during PBR Teams: Cowboy Days

Greensboro, N.C.  — What started as an electric homestead ended in disappointment for the Cowboys.

During the final day of PBR Teams: Cowboy Days, No. 1 Carolina Cowboys were upset by the Missouri Thunder, 260.75 - 173.25.

During Game 1 on Friday, Carolina appeared to be in a fantastic groove. The Cowboys defeated No. 2 Kansas City Outlaws and in the process clinched a playoff berth. Things have gone downhill for the Cowboys since. Saturday they were stunned in front of their home crowd by the Nashville Stampede. Sunday afternoon, Carolina suffered an uncharacteristic second loss in a row at the hands of the Missouri Thunder. It's the first time in 2024 the Cowboys have suffered consecutive losses. Missouri is now the only team to beat Carolina multiple times this season (2-1 series record).

While Carolina posted scores from Daylon Swearingen and Dawson Branton, it was not enough to beat a 3-for-5 effort from Missouri as Paulo Eduardo Rossetto, Boudreaux Campbell and Felip Furlan carried the Thunder to victory.

Carolina's 1-2 showing this weekend in Greensboro has made the top of the PBR Teams standings very interesting. The Cowboys still claim the No.1 spot but just barely. The Kansas City Outlaws only trail by 0.5 games.
