Texas Rattlers unstoppable at home, Cassio Dias makes PBR history

Fort Worth, TX — Bull riding fans inside Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, TX witnessed one of the greatest nights in PBR history.

Night two of PBR Teams: Rattler Days saw the Texas Rattlers improve to 8 - 0 on their home dirt.

Since PBR Teams launched in July 2022, no one has beaten the reigning champs on their home turf. The Austin Gamblers tried to crack the code Friday night. But like every other team in league play, Austin fell short by the final score of 257.5- 87.5. The 170-point win gave the Rattlers in-state bragging rights as well as the final iteration of the 2024 Texas Cup. Texas now leads the season series against Austin, 2 - 1.

Keeping and Fielder - The Rattlers' Dynamic Duo

Daniel Keeping jumpstarted the scoring for the Rattlers by staying atop of Gas Monkey for 87.5 points. Keeping now holds the league record for notching a qualified ride in 10 consecutive games.

Meanwhile Australian star, Brady Fielder announced his presence with authority for the Rattlers, Friday night.

After earning a re-ride in the first, Fielder delivered the Rattlers’ second score prior to the fourth, besting Flyin' Wired for 86 points, to help secure the win for Texas. With the score, Fielder gained ground in the 2024 PBR Teams MVP race, climbing within 22 points of No. 1 John Crimber, who was watching in the stands.

The evening then concluded with the Shootout Round, featuring one rider from each of the winning teams. The Rattlers won the special round as Fielder improved to a perfect 2-0, riding Woody for an unrivaled 89.25 points. With his success in the Shootout Round, Fielder took over the lead in the 2024 PBR Teams MVP Race. Fielder currently leads Crimber by 22 points. Crimber and the Florida Freedom were not in action Friday night, holding one of two byes.

Following Texas' Game 2 victory, Rattlers Head Coach Cody Lambert said the support from their home crow is unmatched.

"We want to win every time but it's (home crowd) really something," Lambert said. "It's great being back at Dickies Arena. This is the greatest arena in the world. We love representing Fort Worth and we love representing Texas. And we're ready to get some more."

The Texas Rattlers will look to remain flawless in Fort Worth when they play the 2022 PBR Teams Champion Nashville Stampede on Saturday.

A Night To Remember For Cassio Dias

It was also a night to remember Cassio Dias. The 2024 PBR World Champion achieved a monumental feat by scoring a record setting 98.25 points on 2024 YETI PBR World Champion Bull Man Hater. Dias' ride is the highest marked ride ever in the PBR Teams League. It's the second highest score in PBR history.

To add to Dias' big night, he and his wife Juliana announced in front of the sell-out crowd in Fort Worth, they are expecting a baby girl.

Kansas City Outlaws Head Coach, J.W. Hart said Dias' record-breaking performance was impressive but not surprising.

"He shows up at the camp every morning and just works hard," Hart said about Dias. "He's top of the class at everything they do. Doesn't matter if it's jumping jacks or riding bulls, he's right at the top. And he never quits. He forges forward in everything he does and he's going to get to be a daddy now. That's pretty cool to see. His family is involved now. It's going to be fun."
