Biography
Fanchon is an Emmy-award winning television host, news anchor, and reporter. She spent much of her beloved career in the Heartland, leading newsrooms in Detroit and Indianapolis. And now, she’s taking her brand of candid, honest, straightforward news and entertainment to a national audience, every morning, as co-host of Morning on Merit Street. Fanchon is a tireless advocate for civil rights and the empowerment of women. Off camera, she walks the walk by volunteering on the boards of many organizations – including the Ascension St. Vincent Foundation, the International Christian Leadership Conference, The Muscular Dystrophy Association, the Michigan Humane Society, the Indiana Coalition to End Sexual Assault, and Peace Learning. Through her own foundation Grit & Grace Nation, she partners with many good causes, including FFA, Center for Leadership Development, Girls Night In International, and St. Vincent Hospitals. Fanchon doesn’t take bull from anyone – except for “Stinger” and “Lill Hott,” two champion bucking bulls on the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Tour that she co-owns and lovingly tends to.
