Bronny James does not deserve to be on an NBA roster: fair or foul? Merit TV's Des Purnell weighs in

LeBron and Bronny James’ special moment during the L.A. Lakers season opener has been met with a sea of scrutiny. Many NBA fans question whether Bronny deserves to be on the Lakers roster.
I have my thoughts on the matter - first and foremost I’d like to say:
1. Michael Jordan is The G.O.A.T. There’s nothing LeBron James can do to change that.
2. I think it’s pretty dope LeBron is getting the opportunity to share the court with his son Bronny. To be the first father-son pair to play in NBA history, it's momentous. For those who are calling this historic moment wack or saying Bronny doesn’t deserve this opportunity - I say stop being delusional, open your eyes and grow the *bleep* up!
The world is not a fair and balanced place. We live in a society where it’s not always what you know that matters, it’s who you know. Unfortunately, the hardest worker doesn’t always get the big job promotion. Sometimes the more talented singer has to do background vocals. That's life! It’s not always fair. At the end of the day, all you can do is try your best to place yourself and your family in positions to succeed. You want to give your kids a leg up on the competition, right? You want to give your kids opportunities you didn’t have, correct? That’s what my parents did for me. And that’s exactly what LeBron is doing for Bronny.
The word “nepotism” exists for a reason. It’s been happening since the beginning of time. Please watch the video attached to this article. I share plenty of examples. It's why I am so vexed about this topic. Why is it such a big deal when LeBron does it??? And let's be clear, this heartwarming, father-son moment does not happen without the power and influence of one of the all-time greats orchestrating behind and in front of the scenes.
I don't care what Bronny’s stats are this season. I have no issue with The Lakers drafting Bronny. Whether it’s only to appease LeBron or if they really think he can develop into a productive NBA player, I couldn't care less.
I just witnessed a man, who grew up poor and without a father - work so hard and achieve a level of excellence so high, he influenced one of the most prestigious brands in all of sports to draft his son. It’s something that’s never happened in the NBA. For me, that’s the biggest boss move; the strongest flex the sports world has ever seen.
So instead of hating on LeBron and Bronny for making history, how about asking yourself this… if you had a chance to make your child’s biggest dream come true and at the same time share in that dream with them, would you do it?
